Art workshops
For many years, the CFH has regularly organized art workshop programs for the community. Hosted by local French-speaking artists, they seek to allow you to develop your talents, to help you unlock your creativity and your shyness to encourage you to express your emotions through visual art. We offer introductions to cartooning, abstract art, sculpture, but also we offer participants the opportunity to develop advanced portrait techniques. The courses are offered online or in person at the CFH premises. In the context of a pandemic, these workshops aim to recreate, strengthen, the social bond within the community, to allow you to meet new people and thus promote artistic and friendly exchange during the course and through group projects.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2023 continues in May and June!
In a dynamic of continuing to celebrate African arts and artisans outside the month of February, the Center francophone Hamilton, in partnership with the Center de santé communautaire Hamilton-Niagara, offers a series of activities dedicated to the transmission of artistic knowledge of Africans and Afro-descendants, so that the community of Hamilton can discover various arts and learn more about the traditions of this continent.
We want to explore visual and oratory arts, music and traditional ways of life with you. The activities are accessible to all ages and we hope that participants will develop new knowledge, new talents and new ideas through their experience. Our workshop facilitators will create the conditions necessary to provide a cultural experience that knows no borders and is shared with all.
At each workshop, participants will create works that will be exhibited or presented at the FrancoFEST festival, taking place June 16, 17 and 18 at Gage Park in Hamilton. Please register for the workshop or workshops that interest you using this link: https://forms.gle/nBYGPZznE5BngE9Q7. Places are limited and require a purchase of expensive equipment per person, so please do your best to come to the workshop once you are registered, or let us know if you ever have to cancel your attendance.
